More seats from YYC to sun destinations this winter should ease the seasonal price spike on popular Calgary-Cancun, Calgary-Punta Cana, and Calgary-Varadero routes. WestJet is adding two extra weekly frequencies on each of those, starting mid-December and running through April.
If you’ve watched winter sun fares from Western Canada climb past $900 in recent years, the extra supply should bring those back to the $650-$780 range, especially for travel between January 8 and February 14.
